This font is based on handlettering on a poster for the British film Noel Cowardâs âBitter Sweet,â released in the US by United Artists in 1933. The poster is in Reel Art: Great Posters of the Golden Age of the Silver Screen, and is signed by one Hans Flato who, presumably, did both the illustration and the lettering.
